The duty of all believers (may Allah, the Most High, strengthen them) is to always keep in mind that Imam al-Mahdi (peace be upon him) is, by the command of the Glorified God, the divinely appointed Imam over them in this era; however, divine wisdom has decreed that until the time permission for his reappearance is granted, he remains hidden from sight.
Therefore, it is incumbent upon them that, in addition to the obligation of recognizing him, believing in him, and expressing love toward him, they frequently remember him, do not neglect supplicating for him in private and in gatherings, and strive to hold ceremonies that keep alive his name and the names of his noble forefathers (peace be upon them), and in which the injustices committed against them by oppressors are recalled.
They should also keep in mind the suffering of the Imam (peace be upon him) upon witnessing the widespread oppression and corruption during the period of occultation, as well as his profound longing for reappearance in order to correct religious deviations and establish justice among the servants of God.
And they should know that all of them are under the attention and care of the Imam, who is more compassionate toward them than a father and a mother, and that their conditions and circumstances are of great importance to him; he is committed to praying for them and showing them his care. Therefore, it is fitting that they seek intercession through his noble station for the fulfillment of their needs and the removal of their difficulties.
And they should await the honored advent of the Imam, and pray that through his reappearance relief and salvation may be granted to them and to the entire community. They should also prepare themselves with insight, certainty, and proper adherence and following.
